Mountainman Muir

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”

~ John Muir

In and around Yosemite State Park, USA, I have walked some of the many famous foot trails made by John Muir. During the mid-1800’s in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, he opened the way to the mountains so that everyone who visited there could see them in their native environment. They are some of the most beautiful foot trails in the world. Thank you John Muir for your love of nature and life.

Below are some photos taken along some of the John Muir trails:

  1. Thank you for posting this. It’s a way to tell people of the indescribable beauty that this world has given us, that no one even knows about. My life is the mountains, and John Muir is my idol. I actually just found your blog by searching for a picture of him. Anyone who is a supporter of John Muir is a supporter of life, love, and all things fantastically beautiful. I am so relieved to know I’m not the only one in this world who appreciates his work and the door that he opened. Thank you again for believing in our country’s true heritage; it’s natural beauty that has been entrusted to us to protect and preserve.
