Strength through suffering

“Trials, temptations, disappointments — all these are helps instead of hindrances, if one uses them rightly. They not only test the fibre of a character, but strengthen it. Every conquered temptation
represents a new fund of moral energy. Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.”

~ James Buckham

Whenever you’re faced with a difficulty, try to look at it as a source of renewed energy and newfound strength. If you can do this regularly, you’ll become immune to many of the problems that burden you in your daily life. If you stop to think about it, most of the things that we allow to weaken us are things we can conquer with a change of attitude and action. So start working out your mind and soul whenever you face trials and disappointments and see yourself become stronger than ever before.
