Follow your inner voice

Steve Jobs

“No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. “

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Steve Jobs
Stanford commencement speech, June 2005

Words of wisdom from someone who has been changing the world for over 25 years. I identify a lot with Steve Jobs because he is a fellow Piscean. I admire and agree with his personal philosophy and his corporate culture at Apple Inc. I remember buying my first Mac in 1985 (a Macintosh+) and totally loving the user experience and wonder of that amazing little machine that he and Steve Wozniak created. He has come a long way since those early days at Apple and surely will go much further with his legacy than where he is today. I hope that I can influence the world and/or the people around me in a way that he has done through his passion, genius and creativity, even if it’s only a few people. Long live Apple Inc and Steve Jobs.

Jobs is really a very wise person. These words are so true. I hope he can fully recover from his sickness.

You are a man with great wisdom and ideas that you fulfill and give freely to others.
You are creating your own legend. You influence people who know you and your ideas, not only the people around you. There are a lot of them…not a few.

  3. It is so important to trust your inner voice. You can listen and evaluate input, but always, always, go back to your inner voice. It’s great to have such a role model state this.
