Forgetting to forget

“We forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget.”

~ Joan Didion

Joan Didion

How many times have you forgotten to do something very important that you thought you would never forget? Like the time when you should of called your best friend to comfort them after a tragedy. Or when you didn’t say “I love you” to someone special and then never saw them again. There are lots of things we forget to say or do in our daily grind, so you should record them either on an electronic mobile device or deep in your mind. Then you won’t be caught off guard when someone you know needs to hear the sound of your voice and comforting words. Remembering to do the things you thought you could never forget can have significant meaning to those close to you. Is there someone you should be contacting today?

  1. I blame procrastination. I should be contacting my high school best friend. It’s been ages since we last had a decent conversation. She’s a mom now. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

  2. Be sure and let me know how your conversation goes with your old high school friend. Don’t let procrastination get in the way anymore of you cheering up your friends. 🙂
